Around Town

On Monday we had no milk so we went to an Amish Restaurant called Katie's Kitchen. Uncle Ron and Aunt Kelly didn't tell me it was run by Amish and when I opened the door there was a little Amish girl who sat us. It freaked me out! I had a chicken tender and fries. It was good.

Then we went to Bird in Hand Bakery where we swung on swings and Ron and Kelly fed goats. I didn't feed them because I was scared. The sign said "Caution: May bite!" At the bakery we bought a whoopie pie for me and two apple dumplings.


Later we went to The National Toy Train Museum. I thought it was interesting because I got to play with the trains. I also mimicked Auntie Kelly's father because it made me think of him and all of his stories about when he was young. We all thought he would love that museum.

Here we were waiting for a buggy ride. This was at The Red Caboose Motel. It's really cool because you can sleep in cabooses and you can eat in a train car that is a restaurant. There was an old man statue in the lobby that I thought was real. It was freaky!


At the end of the trip we took a buggy ride. Here I am waiting for it to start.

The buggy ride was bumpy but I liked it. It was the best part of the day. During the ride we learned more about the Amish and we met an Amish girl who was selling lemonade. Our driver was even born and raised Amish but he never joined the church.

Uncle Ron loves these dumb things.


After dinner we went to the Strasburg Creamery across the street. I had peanut butter ice cream. It was the best.

Amish Villiage & Swimming

The Choo-Choo Barn! Ugh: my Uncle Ron made us go to the Choo Choo Barn.

When we went to the Amish Village I was minding my own business when all of a sudden my Aunt throws a Amish cap on me!!


Well I was tired and the donkeys were boring so ya' you get it.



The Amish's wardrobe is very different from ours as you can see.

Oh Aunt Kelly is really good at checkers.

Yesterday, I learned that Amish have different clothes and beliefs than us.
Also not to turn my back on my Aunt when were around Amish caps!!
Another was not to be around uncle Ron when he jumps in the pool.
Therefore, yesterday was a wonderful day.

wonderful day

Yesterday, my Aunt Kelly and I started our day of at an Amish Farm. Of course she took more pictures of me...ugh. In the picture below is myself by the Amish's dryer.



This was the biggest pig i had ever seen!!


As we walked around the farm, they had an Amish school house. Their schooling is different from ours. They have eight grades all in one room.


Soon after we were done at the farm we met Kristin and Hannah to go to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. This picture is me riding a slow and bumpy tractor ride.

And to end such a wonderful day was the fireworks show at dusk.

Girls Night

Yesterday, Aunt Kelly and I went shopping at Old Navy and got PJ's and a tee shirt. Then we went to the grocery store. After that we came home ate burritos and watched girlie movies. The movies were The Perfect Man and Drop Dead Gorgeous. After that I feel asleep on the couch.

Pool, Friends, and, Stripes

Well yesterday, I went to the pool with my Aunt Kelly, Hannah, Emma, and 2 of my friends, Lauren and Kayla. We played in the pool and had fun but it was cold so I got out and lied in the sun for about two hours hoping to get a tan. When we got home, I took a shower and changed. When I was watching a movie with my friends I notice this red stripe across my leg. I went and showed my aunt she started cracking up. Then I found out I was sunburned across my leg. It literally looks like a stripe. Its so funny.

Day with Friends

On Wednesday I went to play mini-golf at Village Green with Kayla, Lauren, and Jack. We had a great time. Kayla almost took out Jack with a golf ball.

My auntie Kelly picked us up and then we went home and hung out in my room. Jack was trying to look at my pictures but I wouldn't let him.

Then I went to an awesome worship group at Calvary Monument Bible Church. All we did was talk and everyone was nice. I want to go back next Wednesday too.

Then I came home and was invited to another sleepover at Kayla's house. We watched Candy Man. It was very scary.

Choo Choo!

On Tuesday my auntie Kelly took me on The Strasburg Railroad which started in 1832. She took random pictures of me and I hated it. The railroad was interesting because the engine can be attached to each side. During the ride I saw a corn maze and an Amish farm and an Amish schoolhouse.

After that we came home and got ready to go to Powerhouse Youth Group at a church down the street. I played ultimate Frisbee and video games. My favorite part was when we went looking for cell phone bars so we could send text messages.

That night I went to a sleepover at my new friend Kayla's house. We watched movies and had fun.

Gettysburg

The "funnest" day so far. We went to Gettysburg. We took a tour of the battle field, which was fun except for the HOT sun.

After the tour we went to eat at O' Rorkes and had Gelatis at Rita's.


















Then we went on a ghost tour and that was scary. My aunt and uncle told me a ghost followed us home. They started tapping on walls to make me scared.

But after all that it was a fun day:)

On Sunday we went to a church named LCBC. There I met a girl named Haylee.

After church I went to a pet store with my aunt and uncle.
There we saw reptiles, bunnies, cats, and sea animals. When we got back home we went to a Barbecue. At the barbecue we played apples to apples .

Yesterday, I went painting with my Aunt Kelly at the Star-glazers pottery shop. I painted a door plaque with my nick nmae on it along with a dragon fly. We went with Kristen, Aunt Kelly's neighbor, and her 2 kids Hannah and Emma.

After that we went to a $2 tank top sale at Old Navy where I got a white tank top and a shirt.

Then when we came home we went to a kids church for me to make friends. That didn't turn out so great because it was canceled for Fathers day.

yesterday was a fun i spent it with my auntie. First we dropped my uncle ron off at work than we went to target to get pots. My auntie bought me homemade rootbeer and a whoopie pie the pie was good but the root beer tasted like beer! yuck! after that we ran a few more arrians than we came home got facials made dinner and found fire flys! picked up my uncle ron from work and he brought like 10 packs of soda!!

Shopping

Yesterday was a very long day again! First I got awoken from my wonderful dreams to loud singing ...my aunt Kelly. Then we all went out for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel.

Then we went grocery shopping at BBs, an Amish grocery store. Their grocery store is very different from ours. They have 3 rooms: one a room for cupboard stuff and then another for the refrigerated stuff and a freezer room! It was cold in the rooms!

We also went to go learn about the Amish,that was boring form my Aunt and I so she forced my Uncle to let us leave.

After that we went to get frozen custard it actually was really good even though I hate custard. than we went to Walmart for more shopping and then we got a movie for movie night called "Yes Man"... funniest movie alive.

Long Day!

My long day started off really fast! than when my mom and I got to the airport it became to get slower and slower.my first flight was at 1:25 to Las Vegas it only took about an hour ..... but it felt much longer. My next flight was to Philadelphia than plane was about 20 minutes late so I was a little late to the airport. But the worst part about the flight was that it was 4 and a half hours long! I did things to occupy my time like watching movies, listening to music, and reading books and magazines. When I arrived at the airport in Philadelphia I saw my Aunt and Uncle. By the time we got all my luggage and were in the car it was about 12:30 in the morning.When we got home it was almost 3:00in the morning.I was very tired but couldn't really fall asleep. So Iwatched a movie called "The Perfect Man" and listen to my Zune.
